1. Introduction

This article analyses the formation and development of the legislation
on refugees in the Republic of Belarus. Formation of the Belarusian
legislation on refugees is reflected by the Law On Refugees
of 1995 (the first version of the Law On Refugees),
1 its further
development is reflected by the second version (the Law On Refugees
of 1999),
2 and its follow-up development by the third version
of the law (the Law On Refugees of 2003).
3 Other legislative
and regulatory acts of the Republic of Belarus related to the
solution of the refugee problems, including also regulatory
documents on the issues of citizenship, migration and other
norms are briefly characterised in this article.
